Echoes of the Soul
Echoes of the Soul was launched in December 2024, first as a website and later that month as a YouTube Channel. It is a passion project of Yitzy Schweitzer - a young Orthodox Jewish writer and graphic designer - from London, England. The mission of this project is to create simple, yet powerful lyric video presentations for songs in Jewish Music.
The first project produced was the video for Meydad Tasa's "Al Naharot Bavel" song. Since than, Yitzy has produced presentations for songs by Chanan Ben Ari, Benny Friedman and the popular Hassidic pop-rock band, 8th Day, among others.
With every production, Yitzy's goal is the same. To bring and breathe new life into the nostalgic classical, the lovable new and sometimes old and forgotten gems of Jewish Music. Becuase with the countless songs to choose from, the ever-changing "biggest new hits" and the songs that have guided us for years upon years, sometimes there are other songs, other gems, that softly and eloquently move into the shadows, where only a handful of people will venture in to listen to it.
Only they will know of its true untapped beauty.
